Indianapolis PFLAG is Moving the day and Time of the monthly meeting
We are moving the day and time of the monthly meeting to the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm. The meeting is still located at Broadway United Methodist Church
Indianapolis PFLAG opposes HJR-6 (the Marriage Discrimination Amendment)
This proposed amendment would hurt all of the LGBT citizens in Indiana, as well as their families. Our goal is to ensure that HJR-6 does not get passed. We will work with other LGBT and Equality organizations to fight this harmful amendment. Not only does this amendment harm the LGBT community, it also will hurt business in Indiana. We will lose the best and the brightest. Companies will not want to relocate to Indiana. Please become educated. Talk to your friends and families about the harmful effects of HJR-6. NIX SIX!!!! Indy PFLAG extend our thoughts to the President of the Indiana Stonewall Democrats
Our thoughts and best wishes for a speedy recovery go out to Aaron Schaler who was injured when he and another man were struck by a van while walking in Fountain Square.
IYG Needs
The Indiana Youth Group (IYG) serves youth aged 12 to 21 who self-identify as gay, lesbian, transgender or questioning - and their allied friends. It offers a safe place to build self-confidence, explore individualism and develop friendships within a community that values fairness, acceptance, respect for diversity and equality.
They exist on "soft" money - grants and fund raising events. They have many needs that you might be able to help meet; everything from art supplies to dish towels to a 15-passenger van. Download their wish list (pdf file). At the bottom it explains how to contact them.
